June Bug's Story
June Bug was incubated in our home and had to be helped out of the shell.
He was a "human" duck and bonded with Clint very much, as you can see.
He was raised in the house, and would follow Clint around outside
everywhere, right at his heels. When June Bug got old enough to integrate
with his own species in the pond, he had a hard time adjusting, and would
continually fly back to our doorstep and called to us. He preferred us. His
time with us was shortened when he fell sick with a tumor in his bowels and
was put to sleep. It was a very emotional time for us, which I'm sure sounds
strange to some people. June Bug was a black bellied whistling tree duck.
