We tried our hands at a couple bengal tigers in 1990. The larger male
was Jasper and the smaller female was Shasta. As time went on, we
realized these felines were too aggressive for our household. Jasper
was given a new home in Bridge City. Shasta is currently residing in a
wildlife refuge in Kirbyville. I have a few scars on my hand from just
playing with the tigers, and that's all they were doing....playing, and
they loved to play. They were a handful, to say the least. But, I am glad
we were able to have the experience.
