Barnyard Structures
The 1st barn was built in 1992-1994. There are 5 stalls and a storage room.
When we got the donkeys, Jack needed to be separated so the jennets
wouldn't be bred too soon. This is a Rubbermaid storage building and
is just fine for Jack and a future companion.
The new Donkey Dorm (cute name, huh?) is in the process of being built. Here are 2
stages so far as of 9/05/05. We had a lot of on-site "inspectors" for the project, too!
The new barn is almost finished. The electricity needs to be hooked
up. Upper shelves and troughs have been put in as well as a railing
for donkey feed containers.
This is the new hay crib in addition to the normal hay racks in the barns.
Hopefully, this will tide us over and we can get a bulk of hay and keep it
protected from the rain. Even the geese were standing and eating the hay.
Either they like hay or they are just good mimics of the goats and
donkeys.
